Kevin's graduating class at CHOBC (Chaplain Officer Basic Course) chose as their motto "Walk Among Them." The Chaplain brings into the battle arena a touch of God's closeness, a reminder of the reality of eternal things in the midst of battle, and a person to turn to for comfort and counsel. This picture captures that so well--Kevin kneeling to minister to a soldier at his post.

WOW! You know I know it's real what's going on over there but seeing that photo of Kevin doing his job really touched my heart. It is strange to see a Chaplain there over a soldier with a gun. I guess I will just wish for their safety and that's all I can do!
My gosh that photo is powerful, Carol! It always hits me hard when I see pictures like that, but because I know that is YOUR husband there, it really tugs at the heart.
What a lovely photo, Carol. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Carol this is a wonderfully powerful photo. I hope you create a masterpiece with it.
I have to agree with everyone else. The photo is powerful - very powerful. I continue to pray for safety and comfort for you and your children.
Wow, Carol! I stumbled across your blog and your last two entries left me speechless. God is truly wonderful and works in BIG ways. We need to get together again soon! :)
